@ Caroline - Yeah he's running it on his famous "7 Dollar Secrets" script, which he eventually sold (due to a misunderstanding with PayPal I believe.)

Did you like the report? I'm about to email you about some of my list stats for some motivation. I believe you're about to launch your own newsletter?

@ Make - Look for the "enter" or "return" key on your keyboard :)

I agree with the "secret" thing. I try to avoid using it, but anything coming from Jonathan can be trusted, that's for sure!

The typical sales page with the big headline does work, although so many people hate it.

I personally don't have a problem with them as long as they deliver on their promises!!

You have to use at least a little hype to make a product convert well, but overdoing it and moving into the gray area will only hurt your rep, so you just have to find the right mix of hype and "normality?"

haha I think Garry is a good guy, just a little critical, but there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that.

Hey Josh, how's it going. Like Caroline said its not one of those 50 page sales letters. Which make me cringe. But man the word SECRET is so way over done. I love johns stuff and have proftted by what I have read from his blog and 7 buck books. I just roll my eyes when I see the big red font and the word secret. I guess it works. But sheesh. And yep trust is a big factor with me, Im a blue collar guy I like to know when I am buying something that its going work, the right tools and all that. We boght a jeep patriot yesterday. Though the sales dude was trying to sell us another newer model of dodge, when I point blank asked him what is the service record of the new dodge he had to say well its new so theres no real history to it, I went wth the jeep patriot because I know its reliable, and can find the sales history for it. I had a chrysler sebring its 4 years old now and its starting to need suspension work and a water pump.If Ihad known this at the outset I wouldnt have waited so long to trade it in. The point is the trust factor and being open and honest about your product is SOOOO important. Of ocurse NO_ONE can gaurantee results. Your name how ever if good overcomes those "objections". I'm curious what you guys think about the social proof seen on sales pages and blogs. You know the pretty clcikbank commish pics and stuff like that. Effective or no. Improves trust and response or no? Ive been debating whether or not to use something like that. Really I dont care how much you or someonelse makes. I just wanna know that if I do exactly what you say if this is going to work. I'm a plumber by trade (10 years) I know for a fact that I can tell you step by step how to fix that leaky faucette and that it is going to work. Should I expect any different in the IM niche/blogging niche? sorry for the rant Garry conn has me all worked up, man I shouldnt read his blog so early in the morning :-P

It's true. I trust you and at $7 its pretty much a no-brainer so it took me about 3 seconds to decide to buy that report. It helped that the sales letter is reasonably concise or I would have rolled my eyes and ignored it :)
