I started a blog for fun a few months ago, and have been completely surprised to get a couple of the comments you described. My policy is if they don't add value, I get rid of them. My blog is my property, and I can do whatever I want... there is no "free speech." It seems that the profane and confused comments are by pretty dim-witted people that either didn't read the entire post or don't have the IQ to understand it. In any event, allowing their comment would be a disservice to my other readers. As Chuck wrote above, "idiocy appears to run rampant." I started a blog for fun a few months ago, and have been completely surprised to get a couple of the comments you described.
My policy is if they don’t add value, I get rid of them. My blog is my property, and I can do whatever I want… there is no “free speech.”
It seems that the profane and confused comments are by pretty dim-witted people that either didn’t read the entire post or don’t have the IQ to understand it. In any event, allowing their comment would be a disservice to my other readers.
As Chuck wrote above, “idiocy appears to run rampant.”
Now, when it comes to comments that just ramble a bit, I give them more latitude. :)
