You're definitely better off having a business blog and a personal blog.

A few people don't mind seeing personal ramblings on an internet marketing blog, but most people want to read about Internet Marketing, not about personal things.

I've often wondered whether it's better to intersperse personal or off-topic subjects with a business or advice oriented blog. I can see both sides of the question, but I do rather like blogs where I get good advice, and also see some of the writers day-to-day life, and get to know their interests and ideas.
