The only way to learn is to try. If you make mistakes the first time through, learn from them and attack from a different angle. Failure breed success.

Its a great commercial.

I think everybody knows failure as concept. The true bravery is in realising when it strikes you.

Just do not loose heart.

Hey Josh,

I think most everyone hears this little piece of advice their whole life.

This goes back to your other article about "The Herd" mentality. If you're a leader you are constantly trying things and failing at them. It's OK to fail at something as long as you learn from it and move forward. Unfortunately most will only have to fail a few times before they just pack it in and quit.

That's the first time I've seen this video and I think it's great. Of course I have to point out one thing for you. Michael Jordan is unequivocally the best basketball player of all time. Lebron is great but he can't even hold Jordan's jock strap. (SORRY!)

Wow, does this article make sense or what. I've been online for several years and while I have had my fair share of successes, I have too have some failures along the way. Nonetheless, if you really want to make things happen for yourself then you need to hang in there to make it can happen. Excuses Begone. Kudos on your blog post.

Josh -

I love that message. I actually have the Michael Jordan poster that says this same thing hanging in my home office.

Jordan was once quoted saying he's no longer afraid to take game winning shots because after having missed one, there was no longer a fear of the unknown. As in not knowing how badly he'd feel or how angry his fans or teammates would be at him.

Once he realized it wasn't as bad as he feared he was able to confidently take the last shot. The same can be said in business. If you've tasted both success and failure, there's no longer any fear of the unknown. Fear is a big barrier to success, and once that's knocked down, the sky is the limit.

I definitely agree that failure is a part of success. This is especially true with internet marketing. Take PPC for example. Sometimes you have to spend a good amount of money before you find just the right keywords and products to promote.

The most successful internet marketers I have seen are the ones who keep trying.

Josh-
Heck of great post.
I, like alot of others, suffer from "paralysis by analysis". It's hard to get your head wrapped around the concept that failure is not only inevitable, but necessary as a learning mechanism in this game.
I appreciate the candor and honesty in your writing. Very encouraging without sounding like one of those inspirational posters!
I hate those..... ha ha
Thanks, Andy
