starting my own article directory now after making some good money on bum marketing. I actually never have heard of a few of those as I used GoArticles, Buzzle, and most of all Ezine.

Couple of questions:

1. How are the scores computed?

2. The list has severak directories with a ’0′ page rank. Is it worthwhile submitting to these?

Hi Josh,

thanks for your post about Mark’s article directory list. I think I’ll need to get going on a couple here that I’ve been overlooking.

Buzzle especially.

One question: How come iSnare is missing? From what I can tell, my articles get similar numbers of views as ezinearticles.com, albeit complementary, which is great since some articles that get many views with ezinearticles get few(er) with iSnare and vice versa. Ditto with some of the others. I’m especially fond of Amazines.com by the way, which is also performing quite well, and especially receptive to articles that the other two aren’t too big on.

One article that got hardly any views in either ezinearticles or iSnare has been a perennial best performer in Amazines!

Oh, about iSnare: Yeah, they actually charge, but it’s only a buck or two, i.e., not too bad, unless you’re a mass submitter, and it’s worth it to me for the exposure I think I’m getting, to the best I can tell anyway.

One additional request for info: There is at least one that won’t accept multiple submissions (but I forgot which one it was), and that’s something that should also be noted in lists of directories.

Awesome link Josh. You know what would be great though. An article directory list with the minimum word requirement for articles the directory accepts. I know some say 500 which i barely ever write and others allow as little as 250. It would be nice to know that little piece of information!

Thanks for posting this resource. I recently started dangling my feet on Ezine and it has become clear to me that if your articles are good enough, to go viral, it can direct allot of traffic and PR to your site.

Here is a quick tip:

1. Go to the directory with the article
2. Right mouse click on the links
3. Click properties
4. Check out the relationship – no follow/follow.

PS: Buzzle is a good site for traffic- slow to list articles and only 2 at a time- takes time but worth it….

Hi Josh,

thanks for the update. From the looks of it, the top 5 article directories doesn’t really differ very much. I’m not so concerned with the rankings. As long as they are in the top 10 – it qualifies them enough to get my articles uploaded.
